David started off studying multimedia design in the early 90's which meant CD-ROM's (remember those? It was like a website, but smaller and on a shiny disk.) While he was at university the web was invented which seemed to him like it might get popular. He was right. He’s been involved in web development and online advertising ever since and can’t shake the sneaking suspicion that this is far too much fun to be a proper job.
After finishing his degree and getting a 1st in Digital Arts and Technology from Plymouth University he went on to found the interactive agency specialmoves which survived the dot.com boom and bust and is still going strong. He then spent several years at Yahoo! as Head of Ad Technology, joined a massively funded start-up as a Director of Advertising Operations (which was, um, interesting), ran another agency Dgtl and most recently set up this company to do what he loves most, actually building things. He's pretty amazed at what's happened in the last 10 years but thinks that the teens will make the noughties look like the seventies.
